What Drives Richard?

 

Richard is driven to help others maximise their IT investments (existing and future) in all areas, whether that be people, process or products. Richard uses his years of experience to enable organisations to deliver better solutions for customers. Having worked in both Research and Corporate he has seen how IT can be used to enable customers to achieve outcomes that drive the human race forward.

 

He believes organisational culture is one of the key elements to delivering services which allow customers to achieve their goals. Staff who understand the business and their importance to the business are able to align themselves far more easily to the business goals. 

 

Similarly organisations that understand and support their staff are able to build cultures where staff are empowered to positively and proactively contribute, delivering more creative and profitable solutions. Furthermore these organisations have cultures where constant service improvement is a part of every activity they do. They are able to quickly identify and exploit opportunities as the arise, even turning problems into potential opportunities.

 

Richard has been in the IT industry for 20 years. He is customer and solutions focused, building strong relationships with both customers and vendors to deliver the best possible solutions. He has managed large server installations and multi million dollar budgets.  He sees it as his mission to help customers better utilise their existing (and future) infrastructure.

 

Richard has experience in delivering innovative solutions in both large and small solutions in the Education (HPC and Research) and Corporate space. He also has a strong experience in delivering best of breed solutions with mixed architectures in order to deliver the best solution possible. He is driven to deliver the best customer experiences and maximise investments in people, process and products.

 

Richard can quickly assess proposals and designs to determine where improvements and cost savings can be made. He can also quickly appraise technical staff to see where they are best suited in projects. He is driven to build teams that have a strong customer culture and find innovative solutions to difficult problems.
